Biogas production is the most economic and environmentally friendly way of biomass utilization. All EU members support the construction of biogas plants as well as the sale of renewable energy according to guideline No 2001/77/EC.
4000 biogas plants produced about 11 million kW hours power in Germany in 2008 and covered so the need of more than 3 million households. In 2009 a further increase of 780 plants is expected based on the EEG law, which then comes into force.
In Poland there are only a few biogas plants. But according to a plan of the Ministry of Economy and Trade every district should install a biogas plant by 2020. This investment will not only guarantee the supply of energy but also enable the communities of using less expensive power at their disposal. A further advantage is the possibility of using more harmless fertilizers such as fermented and disinfected substrates produced by the biogas plants.
PPM Group plans and constructs ready to use biogas plants running on agricultural substrates or waste products such as liquid manure, dung, silage, waste of fish, fruit, vegetable or meat, waste of breweries, dairies but also sewage sludge and urban waste.
The planning process consists of two stages. After receiving the relevant data the PPM Group calculates the potential of the raw material. This result is then used to calculate the optimum yield of the biogas. Our expertise makes it possible to adapt the projects exactly to the needs of the customer. PPM is constantly improving technologies and solutions in the plants in Pastitz and Kemmitz which were constructed by PPM Group.
